Solomon became the new king of Israel. He was young and knew he needed help to be a good leader.
One night, God came to Solomon in a dream and said: “Ask Me for anything you want.”
Solomon didn't ask for money, he didn't ask to be famous, and he didn't ask for a long life.
Solomon prayed: “Lord, give me wisdom to know right from wrong and to lead Your people.”
God was very happy! He gave Solomon great wisdom, and also riches and honor.
(Bible: 1 Kings 3:5–14)
